Watercolour Wings!

Hello my crafty peeps!
I bought this bundle several months ago and am finally making something with it! (way behind the rest of the SU world) How about you? Do you love them or not?
This stamp set is chalk full of two and three step stamps that are so easy to line up as the stamp set is photopolymer. Best bit is it comes with a coordinating set of Bold Butterfly framelits!  And, did you know these coordinate with the Butterfly Basics stamp set and dies bundle also? So if you have that one you NEED this one too!

Here is a simple card I made using the bundle.

Close up of the butterfly, not sure if you can see I used a bit of Wink of Stella

Inside of the card
So glad I had the new Big Shot Die Brush tool, to get the little bits out of framelits. Worked like a dream!

Hope you like it!!

Clean and Simple - Sky is the Limit

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today I am featuring a card made by Brenda one of my regular ladies at "Tea and Crafting", we were casing a card by "Becca's Creations" using the "Sky is the Limit" stamp set which is available in the Sale-a-bration brochure for a limited time - February 15th.

We chose to use a Bermuda Bay CS base and then Whisper White CS.  Now in the process of stamping the clouds, there was ink on the edge of the stamp which caused a ink to be where it shouldn't.  We have all been there done that but it can be frustrating.

"Mistakes are normal. ... Mistakes Happen, but What we do with them can be extraordinary"

I think what we came up with made the card look awesome!

We chose to use the tree builder punch and pop the cloud over the mistake.

Stamp Set – Sky is the Limit, Sprinkles of Life
Ink – Memento tuxedo Black, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock – Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories – Tree Builder Punch, Cherry on Top Washi Tape,  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Hope he and you like it!

Ice Cream anyone?

Hello my crafty peeps!
Todays card is one inspired by my little friend Maddex, he saw a Pinterest post of one similar and asked that we make him one. So of course I said YES!
Flavor… Do you have a favorite even when the temperatures outside are too cold for ice cream??

I’d have to say YES.  Even when it’s cold outside I can go for a big bowl of strawberry ice cream.  What about YOU?

I love this set/bundle - punch can be used for so so much.  For todays card we used the following:
Stamp Set – Sprinkles of Life, Itty Bitty Banners
Ink – Chocolate Chip, Blushing Bride, Tip Top Taupe
Cardstock – Tip Top Taupe, Marina Mist, Whisper White, Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip
Accessories – Dots Embossing Folder, Tree Builder Punch, Wink of Stella,  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive, Paper Snips, Big Shot

Hope he and you like it!

Hey Girl!

Hello my crafty peeps!

Todays card is one my friend Marie made, we decided to take a much earned mini break from Christmas Cards and try out the "Hey Girl" stamp set from Stampin' Up! .

We used a mixture of Promarkers and copic markers to colour the cards.  These are bigger than the cards we normally make at 5"x7" rather than the 4"x6" standard size.  I think for a first time using the markers, she did a fabulous job.

Hope you like them!  Would love to hear your comments or see your versions...

Have a Cuppa!

Good morning my crafty peeps!

I attempted to make a card the other day with the "A Nice Cuppa" stamp set and "Cups and Kettles" framelits dies, I have to say I was feeling a bit disappointed....  I like the colours in the "Have a Cuppa" DSP but for some reason I was not liking them all together as very bright.  See my card below

But I went back on Pinterest and saw this card using the soft colours I love and it drew me in and I had to click through to read the blog post and I must say I am feeling a bit better about purchasing the bundle...

I must also remember I do not have to use the "Have a Cuppa" DSP if I dont want to.  Please check out Kate Benade's blog

I also like the "Have a Cuppa" embellishments , thought I pre-ordered but cant find amongst all my stash (I am a bit of a craft hoarder).

If you know me you will know I love all things related to Tea, I am actually enjoying a nice hot cuppa tea as I write this.

Hope this inspires you to create a tea or coffee themed project.  Would love to hear from you or see your project; post in the comments.

Hugs, Karen

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today I am Going Global!  I would definitely consider this set on your wish list for the Occasions catalog.  I think it’s going to be a set that many of us will fall in love with.

We will be making this card on Friday night, hope the ladies will like it!
I can't say that I thought up the design, as I had a tutorial from Chat over on the Me, My Stamps and I  blog.

Here is a close up of the card showing the sentiment etc., this would be good for a masculine card as the colours are very neutral.

Timeless Textures

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today I am focusing on one of my new favorite stamps the Timeless Textures and I know I will be using it a lot!  This stamp set will give Gorgeous Grunge and Work of Art a run for it’s money.  Beautiful textures that you could use on ANY card.  Go ahead and add it to your wish list.

I have had a Wink of Stella pen for a couple years and love it, so happy Stampin' Up! is carrying now. I used the Wink of Stella on a few of the dots for a bit of sparkle and added a few rhinestones in the corner.

I cased this card from Pootles (love her cards) and used the same colour combo of Basic Grey, Smoky Slate, Pink Pirouette and Rose Red.

My cousin Sue in Australia made a card with the set and I love the watercolor effect.

Hope you liked the cards we did.

Please do use the hostess code to get free product! (hostess code shown in the top right of my blog for January!)

You can buy Stampin’ Up! online easily through my Stampin’ Up! shop link at top of this page, or within this blog post.   You can also join Stampin’ Up! through similar links too!

Flowering Fields

Hello my crafty peeps!

Christmas is OVER…how did that happen? I love seeing family and friends, but also enjoy the weeks after relaxing and getting back to normal. We are still worrying about our furbabies who have been in and out of the vet, sad that they are getting older 15 & 16, it just creeps up on us, so sad but they seem to be doing better.

This week’s theme is Anything Sale-A-Bration…well, we have an awesome selection to choose from this year! It starts tomorrow…not too much longer to wait! Here’s what I did using the stamp set, Flowering Fields.

I am a little disappointed as I did not get a crisp image of the sentiment, tried to fix it with a fine tip marker but not likey so much.  Will keep this one as a sample....  But I do like the concept of the card, which the inspiration came from a card my friend Deanne made this summer.

Have you received your mini catalog yet? If you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like one please let me know. You can email me here and I'd be happy to get one to you.  I cover Canada but have team members in Australia and in the USA, so you can join us in those countries also!  And of course, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and on YouTube as Karen Stallman (no craft videos yet)!

Crafty Space 2016!

Hello my crafty peeps, what a glorious day today has turned out to be...nothing special going on, just such a beautiful sunny wintery kind of day.

I am always looking for more ways to decorate/organize my room.....although I have had my room for about 2 years, it is soooooooo far from being done....I always tell my hubby that it is only 60 to 80 percent done....that drives him nuts... hee hee considering that I have spent so much time organizing and arranging. (My cousin always says havent you already organized it twenty times)

It will never be my ideal craft room, unlike some of the gorgeous ones you see on Pinterest or youtube, with the stamp-n-storage systems and huge space but for now I am just thankful he let me have his loft office/den as my craft space.  Insert "happy dance" or at least that was how I felt 6 months ago, now that I do the odd class, I think the basement family room would be a better fit, but he ain't budgin' now from his "Man Cave"

For some reason about 11pm last night I decided I needed to move some furniture around and start to organize my punches and stamps.  There is only so much I can do in the space but one of these days I hope to find the right fit. I better start up again once I'm done my tea, stay tuned for the finished photos...

If you have a craft space, please share in the comments.
Thanks for stopping by.

Feline Thank you

Hello my crafty peeps!

I LOVE CATS!!! I have two of my own, and have pretty much always had cats. Therefore, I have lots of cat stamps, today I am making thank you cards for two special people.  One will be for Janey a lovely lady in our crafting FB group that donated some funds to help Shelby's vet bills in December and the other will be for the Vet that looked after her at the Emergency.

Today's kitty is the Stampendous Cling Feline Fun, and this one i watercoloured with my . She have been colored with
Stampin' Up! inks.  The cardstock is Early Espresso and  I used a scrap of Spice Cake a retired Stampin' Up! DSP.   The thank you sentiment is stamped in Early Espress ink above the sleeping kitten, Stampendous Feline Sleepy Rubber Stamp

I tried to watercolour as similar to Shelby as possible but was a little off.  Hope they like it!!
