Facebook Mystery Hostess Party

Hello my crafty peeps!

Last Saturday January 28th I held a Virtual Sale-a-Bration Party, with a Mystery Hostess! Wow, the Hostess received $101.00 in Stampin' Up! rewards, based on the orders placed using the code.  I must say the party was a success with everyone receiving some form of prize and anyone who placed a qualifying order also received a 6"x6" stack of a current Stampin' Up! Designer Series Paper (DSP).

I broke out the new stamp set,  "Hey Chick"… which is also one of the FREE sets you can get for Sale-A-Bration!  I LOVE the chickens and can’t believe I haven’t used it before now!

And here is my card!  Don’t you love the colors?

Here are the details:
  • The base is 4-1/4" x 11" Very Vanilla cardstock, folded in half.
  • The base front is embossed with the chicken wire folder from Cuttlebug.
  • The Old Olive cardstock was trimmed to 1/2" x 5-1/2" strips, then die cut with the Lawn Fawn Grassy Border die.
  • A 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 panel of Whisper White was stamped with the Chicken images from Hey Chick stamp set with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink.  It was colored with Promarkers Alcohol Markers.  Then fussy cut and placed between and above the grass with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Hey Chick sentiment was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black on scrap Whisper White and die cut with a chat bubble die I had laying around.  I inked the edges and then placed on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Finally, I stamped the inside with the little your'e a good egg stamp.

Hope you like it!

Our next Facebook Party will be beginning of June for the release of the 2017-2018 Annual Catalogue.  But if you wish to host your own party, contact me at kstallman55@gmail.com

If I can give you just a little inspiration, where you can look at one of my cards and think I can do that, or I could tweak that and put my own spin on it, then I am achieving what I have set out to do!

... Because your'e awesome!

Hello my crafty peeps!

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Friday, I know I am!

Today's card is made with the Sale-a-bration stamp set "What I Love"  and the "Botanicals for You".
I cased the idea from Ophelia Crafts video.  I wasn's sure of the measurements so made 4" x 4" base. With the scrap I was able to make a 3" x 3" Thank you card...

Hope you like my versions

Clean and Simple - Sky is the Limit

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today I am featuring a card made by Brenda one of my regular ladies at "Tea and Crafting", we were casing a card by "Becca's Creations" using the "Sky is the Limit" stamp set which is available in the Sale-a-bration brochure for a limited time - February 15th.

We chose to use a Bermuda Bay CS base and then Whisper White CS.  Now in the process of stamping the clouds, there was ink on the edge of the stamp which caused a ink to be where it shouldn't.  We have all been there done that but it can be frustrating.

"Mistakes are normal. ... Mistakes Happen, but What we do with them can be extraordinary"

I think what we came up with made the card look awesome!

We chose to use the tree builder punch and pop the cloud over the mistake.

Stamp Set – Sky is the Limit, Sprinkles of Life
Ink – Memento tuxedo Black, Bermuda Bay
Cardstock – Bermuda Bay, Whisper White
Accessories – Tree Builder Punch, Cherry on Top Washi Tape,  Stampin’ Dimensionals, Snail Adhesive

Hope he and you like it!

Purchase your stamp set on-line; don’t forget to check out the Weekly Deals and Clearance Rack before you finalize your order.
Thanks for stopping by.  Please sign up to receive an email notice when I publish a new blog post so you don’t miss anything!

Flowering Fields

Hello my crafty peeps!

Christmas is OVER…how did that happen? I love seeing family and friends, but also enjoy the weeks after relaxing and getting back to normal. We are still worrying about our furbabies who have been in and out of the vet, sad that they are getting older 15 & 16, it just creeps up on us, so sad but they seem to be doing better.

This week’s theme is Anything Sale-A-Bration…well, we have an awesome selection to choose from this year! It starts tomorrow…not too much longer to wait! Here’s what I did using the stamp set, Flowering Fields.

I am a little disappointed as I did not get a crisp image of the sentiment, tried to fix it with a fine tip marker but not likey so much.  Will keep this one as a sample....  But I do like the concept of the card, which the inspiration came from a card my friend Deanne made this summer.

Have you received your mini catalog yet? If you don't have a Stampin' Up! Demonstrator and would like one please let me know. You can email me here and I'd be happy to get one to you.  I cover Canada but have team members in Australia and in the USA, so you can join us in those countries also!  And of course, you can find me on Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, Twitter and on YouTube as Karen Stallman (no craft videos yet)!

Hugs, Karen

Canada Goose

Good Afternoon my Crafty Peeps!  Question of the day - Heat embossing, yes or no?
I love the look, and I've been trying to use my heat tool a lot more lately.  (stopped using when I burnt a circle in my craft room carpet last year)

For today's creation I got inspiration from a card, I found on Pinterest a month ago.  Now I have my oval framelits I can finally go ahead and make.  I used Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder to emboss the Canada Goose from the Wetlands stamp set and the sentiment.  It just gives a little bit more texture, even without anything else done to it!

Inside I used the goose and a phrase from  the Moon Lake stamp set in the new Occasions catalog.

That's all for now. Thanks so much for checking in with me today. Until tomorrow, have a Tea-rrific day! (My new word)
Here are the supplies I used for today's card. When you go to my Online Store, create your account, then you can click on a category and start shopping.
Details:
Stamps: Wetlands Clear-mount, Moon Lake Clear-mount
Cardstock: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla
Ink: Versamark, Cajun Craze , Crushed Curry, Mossy Meadows
Accessories: Early Espresso Stampin' Emboss Powder, Heat Tool, Embossing Buddy, Ovals Collection Framelits, Circle Card Thinlet Dies, Burlap and reeds emboss folder
All Online Orders of at least $60 are eligible for free stamps, etc. from the Sale-a-Bration Brochure!

Flip Over this Altered Thinlits Circle Card . . .

Happy Saturday my crafty Peeps!
I Saw instructions for this card on Stampin" Georgia's blog last year and thought it would work with the Celebrate Today Photopolymer bundle.
I love the card I'm sharing with you today!

Here is how to use your Circle Card Thinlit in a whole new way....  Begin with a 4-1/4" x 11" piece of cardstock (half of your 8-1/2 x 11 cut in half the long way). Place the cardstock on your magnetic platform with the die, make sure cardstock goes over the thinlit edge instead of under on the one side.

Fold on the score lines created by the thinlit (first one back, second one in) then place in upper left corner of Simply Scored Tool and score @ 5 1/2".  Fold in on 5 1/2" score line.

Now we can decorate!!  I chose to use the Best Day Ever DSP, and the coordinating Inks, along with some glitter paper and Rhinestones.

Hope you like it!!
Hugs, Karen

Starter Kit- to sell or not to sell?

Good morning everyone!!
As you may have noticed I have been posting a little more on my blog, I have a bit more energy and I just LOVE Stampin' Up's Sale-a-bration.  So I could not resist chatting about Stampin' Up's awesome special for those that are thinking of getting the Starter Kit-  for $125 for YOUR CHOICE of anything in the annual catalog up to the value of $155 (also receive $70 worth of business supplies), that's pretty good huh?
WELL- at the moment (until the 31st of March), for the same price, $125 you get YOUR CHOICE what you want for free (see p. 22-23), awesome deal.
But, I hear some of you say, I don't want to sell stuff.... Well that's fine! You are under NO OBLIGATION to sell even one thing! You can let your demonstrator title slide completely, or just keep up the minimum $400 ($300 with 20% off) per quarter to keep your 20% discount going. Totally up to you! No questions asked!

If you are thinking... well actually I’d love to make a little money out of this to PAY for my craft addiction (or provide a little income or large income)... well let me tell you, it IS POSSIBLE! And if you decide to join, you would be part of a unique, quirky, fun team!! And we can give you the help you need to be able to make your Stampin' Up dream a reality. My up-line is teaching me, and I will pass this knowledge on to you- and it’s easy!  I am also connected to a Demonstrator in the United States and in Australia who will also help with ideas and knowledge.

You may be wondering why I joined?
Well- that's a story that started a long time ago- I got introduced to Stampin Up a few years ago, (I've been paper-crafting for 15 years) and I saw the quality of the Stampin Up product way back then, and even then I thought, I could sell this stuff.... but I didn't do anything about it. Well.. time passes and my life turned upside down and crafting really did become therapy for me.  I also had an addiction of shopping for craft products online.  A friend said look at the Stampin' Up! products and if you become a demonstrator you will actually save 20% and I will buy through you.
I still use my stash of different stamps, inks etc., its so therapeutic - and in fact it helped me forget for a little while! It took me out of my world of worry about health & finances (briefly) into a world of colour, glitter and bling... but I had absolutely no thought of pursuing it as a job I look at it like a hobby (No Pressure).

I believe ANYONE can do this! I'm very new in my journey with Stampin' Up! but I am slowly, slowly getting there - and I promise to show you how, if you join our team!
So, if you have any other questions DON'T HESITATE to contact me via email- or check out the tab above "Join my Team" it has a FAQ answered on that page. I hope to hear from you soon!!

Hugs, Karen
