Weekly Deals - All about Trim!

Hello my crafty peeps!
This weeks deals is all about trim!  I am a bit of a hoarder when it comes to ribbon, twine and other embellishments.  Even though I have lots of Bakers twine I just cannot resist trying to have it in every colour.....  Well this week makes it easy to add to my stash.

Mojo Monday #386

Happy Monday my crafty peeps!!
It's time for a tall and skinny creation for Mojo Monday, so I went with a 3.5 x 5.5" and fits a regular A2 envelope with a little room left over to let my sentiment hang off the 3.5" side. .

• The base is 3.5 x 11" cut of Soft Suede cardstock, score long side at 5.5"
• The 3.25 x 5.25" piece of Best Year Ever Designer Paper (FREE SAB product!), placed on the piece of Soft Suede cardstock.
• A 1.75 x 3" piece of Best Year Ever Designer Paper, layered on a 2 x 3.25" piece of Calypso Coral cardstock.
• The image was stamped with  Crushed Curry, Coastal Cabana, and Old Olive on Whisper White  
• To a great friend from the "Simply Wonderful Stamp Set" (FREE SAB product!) was was stamped with Soft Suede and layered to a piece of Crushed Curry and added to the front.

Happy Birthday!

Hi everyone!  I have been sooooo busy!  I have a couple  of announcements to make, and then I want to share a card that I made.

Mojo Monday #385

Happy Monday my Krafty Peeps!

This will be my second time participating in the  Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge  .  I am having fun doing these as it gives me that extra push to hop out of bed and make a card, I found myself yesterday itching to find out what the sketch would look like.

Visited with one of my dear friends in the morning and went out for lunch, afterwards I came home and thought do I nap or make the card....
I struggled with this one, as I am trying to use up some DSP I have had for a year now. All and all I think It will be a good card to send to a friend.

Happy Saturday

Happy Valentine's Day my crafty peeps!

I hope everyone is having a awesome day, I am up early running on a few hours sleep but I wanted to do a few things today.  I am making homemade tomato vegetable soup in slow cooker, and might make some blueberry bran muffins too.

Here is a card I made last year for Valentine's Day but I love the way it turned out.

Valentine's Day Is primarily for lovers. But, you can also celebrate Valentine's Day with your friends. Strengthen the bond of friendship with a simple act of love. Let your friend know how much you enjoy her companionship with a Valentine's Day card.

February Hostess Winner

Hi my crafty peeps!

Hope everyone is enjoying their Saturday. Are any of you making cards this weekend?

I wanted to share that Linda won both the stamp giveaway and the hostess rewards this month.  But Cindy did win a giveaway as well. Cindy won the stardust pens, and Linda the buttons with coordinating lace.

I have been busy decluttering the house and selling things in our local Buy & Sell, so not much in the means of cardmaking has been done.  But I do have a few special occasions coming up in the next few weeks that I must get cracking on making cards and other fun stuff for.

Winter Wonderland

It looked like a winter wonderland in Calgary this afternoon, trees with the snow and frost on them is such a beautiful sight.  I had running around to do today so was thankful that Deerfoot was bare and dry.

When I got home, I spent a nice couple of hours hanging out watching movies with the hubby.  I did manage to sneak in 2 Valentine's Day cards before bed.

These were made with the small heart from You Brighten my Day stamp set in the Sale-a-Bration brochure.

Loads of Love

Hi my Crafty Peeps!  

Today I am making a Valentines Day card for my nephew Lucas using the "Loads of Love" stamp set.

Details: (recipe)

• Create a 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" card base out of Natural White cardstock, then cut a piece of dark blue shimmer paper that I had laying around with the largest of the Spellbinders Nestabilities A2 Distressed Edges  card creator set.  I also cut out of watercolour paper the next size down of the above die set.

• Then I stamped the trees from the "White Christmas" stamp set using Black Stazon ink for my background.  I coloured the trees with Baked Brown Sugar ink and then I water coloured the background using the aqua painter and Soft Sky ink.

• Stamp the images onto a scrap piece of watercolour paper and colour using Night of Navy, Baked Brown Sugar, Crisp Cantaloupe, Hello Honey, Black, Real Red, Basic Gray, and Basic Black Stampin' Write Markers or Classic Stampin' Pads

• I applied some Crystal Effect to the light, hubcaps and windows for a glass effect and also to the hearts. Dazzling Details was used on background to look like snow.

• Added a tag with the sentiment and wound some Red Bakers Twine around the whole thing before attaching to the card base.
