Garden in Bloom - Friends and Flowers

Hello my crafty peeps!

Hope you are enjoying this lovely Thursday.  I quickly played with the Garden in Bloom stamp set the other day and tried really hard to remember the ones I saw on Pinterest and liked so much.  I must say this is not one of my better cards, but it did only take 5 minutes or so to make.

I sometimes like winging it and seeing what turns up on my card....

Hope you like it, I'm sure my girlfriend will be happy to receive in the mail.  She is driving cross country to Mexico to visit the grandparents, for her kids spring break. What a wild ride that will be 4 kids aged 3 to 16 in a vehicle for that long of a time.  But what memories are they making, wish I was there.

Stampin' Up! From the Herd

Happy Hump Day!  I made this a few days agi but never got around to taking a photo and posting, Last week I was looking after hubby who hurt himself and just not in a real crafty frame of mind.

But I had promised to make a fun birthday card from a group for a friend. Right away I thought of "From the Herd"

Butterfly Wishes!

Good morning my crafty peeps!

I haven't made to many new cards in last week, so I am show casing a card my cousin Sue in Australia.  Sue has been busy putting together and organizing her craft space and its finally done, so thought she would make a few simple cards with the Butterfly Basics, Papillon Potpourri and Flowering Fields stamps.

Paper Pumpkin Storage

Hello my crafty peeps, happy Friday!

This week I finally put all my Paper Pumpkin stamps into a 8x8 binder with the Project Life pages. The stamps fit perfectly into the slots, all I have left to do is cut some cardstock to slip behind each set for easier viewing.  I found a spot on my desk for it and now its on hand any time I need to make a quick card.

My friend Deanne gave me the idea and then I saw that other demo's had posted about it too.

Hope everyone is enjoying this beautiful Friday, I know I am!

Today's card is made with the Sale-a-bration stamp set "What I Love"  and the "Botanicals for You".
I cased the idea from Ophelia Crafts video.  I wasn's sure of the measurements so made 4" x 4" base. With the scrap I was able to make a 3" x 3" Thank you card...

I feel like I have been super busy the last 2 weeks, reality not so much but for me yes, lol. Rose Wonder ...

Hello my crafty peeps!

Todays card is for a friends birthday and I thought I would try my Rose Wonder stamp set for the first time.  I heat embossed in clear on Shimmery White cardstock and then water coloured in Tempting Turquise and Wild Wasabi.  Once dried I applied Wink of Stella to the rose. Hope you can see the shimmer on the close up.

Soon the 2014-2016 In Colors will be retiring! If you don't have refills for your ink pads - get them now.Trust me when I say they will sell out fast!  (I missed out one year)

Technique Tuesday - Northern Lights!

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today’s card project was designed using the Stampin’ Up! Lovely as a Tree Stamp Set and the Northern Lights Technique.

Dimensions:

• Stamp and sponge according to following instructions:
  • Stamp the pine tree from the “Lovely as a Tree” set several times at different heights to make your base.
  • Sponge with Smoky Slate from bottom to the top
  • Sponge with Blackberry Bliss from bottom to the top
  • Sponge with 
  • Blackberry Bliss cardstock . . . 5-1/2" x 8-1/2", folded
  • Whisper White cardstock . . . one piece, 4" x 5-1/4",
  • Night of Navy from bottom to top and then sponge the edges a smudge the top.
  • Spray card with some Perfect Pearls Mist or Vanilla Shimmer Smooch Spritz from Stampin’ Up! (retired)
• Third piece . . . 3/4" x 4" for greeting banner or as I did I used a die I had on hand for the greeting and also used a bit of Wink of Stella.
