"Sprinkles of Life"

Hello my crafty peeps!

I just can't get enough of this set, not only does it have a tree and a matching build a tree punch but this set was designed for charity. Namely the Ronald McDonald House!

I think the set is not only great fun, but also very versatile. You'll see this set used lots in the coming months!

A fun idea is to mix and match sentiment sets to make different sentences. This time a sentiment from the new set Sprinkles of Life and one of the Sassy Sentiments.

Here is a fun cupcake of flowers (cased from Pinterest) created using the Sprinkles of Life. The flowers balance out the basket along with the sentiment.  This was a really fun, easy card to assemble and having a coordinating punch to match the stamp set helps out!

TIps & Tricks:

  1. When trying to decide what to purchase, from the new catalog consider purchasing bundles!
  2. They are a great deal and the coordinating items make it easy to add extra pizzazz to your cards.
  3. Finish flowers off with a pearl, rhinestone or Candy Dot. (Bling who doesn't like Bling)
  4. The Gorgeous Grunge Stamp Set is one of my favourite sets for backgrounds!

Thanks for stopping by!

New 2015 Catalog Survival Kit and Bookmark

Hello my crafty peeps!

This is my 2nd year for the New Catalog Release and 1st Survival Kit!  I really like how it turned out but unfortunately the catalogue was mailed directly to my customers, so I will have to mail the survival kits to them or hand out when they come for a class.

Such great ideas floating around and I hope every year I am better prepared with fun little items for my awesome customers/friends.

The bookmark idea came from Christa.  What a great way to showcase the new In Color colors as well as giving my customers a reminder of me whenever they see it.  On the back I added a Stamp with Karen label, with my Stampin' Up! website address and phone number.  Thank you Christa for the great idea!

Each of my customers who have pre-ordered a 2015-16 Idea Book and Catalog will receive a bookmark to keep their place in their new catalog!

Have a great weekend everyone!

Hugs, Karen

Tea and Crafting - You've Got This!

Hello my crafty peeps!

Had a great time Wednesday with Brenda for our weekly Tea and Crafting make & take.  I planned 2 cards ahead of time that we could watercolour and one with only stamping involved, but at the last minute threw in a third we could colour with Copics.

We were all set for the afternoon!  We started with the water colouring using the "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set, and a stamp I had with some rain boots, watercolour paper, and Soft Sky CS.

We both were a little muddled that day but had fun, weather was beautiful to have the sliding door open, listening to the water fountain on the deck.

The second card was made using the "You've Got This" stamp set, love this set as great for all occasions.  For this one our card base was tempting Turquoise, and we used the Whisper White CS for front and inside.

The third card we used the "Kind Koala" stamp and Wild Wasabi CS, DSP and stitched ribbon.

Hope you enjoyed today's post, and any comments are greatly appreciated.

Hugs, Karen

Happy Long Weekend Monday!

Hello my crafty peeps!

Don't let the Monday blues rain on your parade!  Sorry I havent posted in a week or more been visiting with my Mum for the last 2 weeks.

I thought it was about time I used some of my older stamps that just seem to stay in my drawer and the new Stampin' Up! "Sprinkles of Life" stamp set... Love them but just haven't got around to using them.

I might mix and match a few things from other companies as I am a hoarder have just LOVE to shop for craft supplies!!

Card I experimented with for Tea and Crafting class...... Yes I made a boo boo the sentiment did not come out right.  I was trying to make a rainy day card and did not turn out exactly like I wanted but still cute.  I was going to use the sentiment "Whatever the weather, things will come together". But I think I sold the stamp earlier.

Tea and Crafting - Sheltering Tree

Hello my crafty peeps!

Had a great time today with my mum and Brenda for my weekly Tea and Crafting make & take.  I planned 2 cards ahead of time that we could watercolour and one with only stamping involved.

All set for the afternoon!  We started with the water colouring using the Lovely as a Tree stamp set, watercolour paper, Soft Suede CS,  as well as a splash of Old Olive CS .

We had a really fun time, weather was perfect to have the sliding door open.  Great conversation to boot!

The second card was made using the Sheltering Tree stamp set, love this set as great for all seasons and occasions.  For this one are card base was Old Olive, and we used the natural White CS for front and inside.

Sorry not the best photos as my hand always seems to shimmy, I must start using my camera more often instead of iPad or iPhone.

Hope you enjoyed today's post, and any comments are greatly appreciated.

Hugs, Karen
