Halloween Fry Boxes - Frankenstein

Hello my crafty peeps!

I have been on pinterest (addictated) and am noticing a trend to create punch art creatures with the Fry Box die and the Curvy Keepsake Box die.  I am slowly starting to try them out.

Today I am working on a Frankenstein fry box for a friends son,  and hopefully a Pumpkin fry box for her daughter Caitlyn.

To make the hair for Frankenstein, cut a 1 1/2″ strip of Basic Black on the Fry Box die at the top of the front flap and simply snip a ragged edge.

These fry boxes are easy to construct, and a 4″x6″ cello bag fits nicely inside.  I think part of the fun of giving a handmade gift is in the packaging.  It makes a little something just a little more special.

I used screw brads for the ear
I used glow in the dark glitter on eyes and mouth.

Among the Branches

Hello my crafty peeps!

I am chatting about Stampin' Up's  "Among the Branches" stamp set,  this set is designed for all those crafters out there who love to use embellishments and textured mediums such as embossing powder, Liquid Pearls™, punched shapes and paper flowers.  This basic branch shape is a perfect foundation for building lovely spring or autumn scenes.  You can even create Christmas trees, spooky Halloween branches.

This set also goes well with the "Woodland emboss folder"  Here is a cute one I saw on Pinterest...  Click to be taken to her blog

Autumn is definitely in the air in our part of Canada, with beautiful cool nights and glorious warm days.  I am enjoying going for walks and seeing all the fall colours, Shelby loves being outside and is camoflauged in the leaves. As those close to me know it is my favourite season of the year with the gorgeous colours, and wonderful temperatures.

Bursting through!

Hello my crafty peeps!

I am attempting to have regularly scheduled posts with things like Technique Tuesday, Motivation Monday, and the list goes on.  Well at least that is my plan for 2016!

Today I thought I would talk about a technique I have used several times especially with my owl and cat stamps.  Create an opening in your card where a character can emerge.  You can find a full tutorial at Splitcoasters... but it is a really easy technique.
(I apologise that the photos are not that great especially the cat one)

Flurry of Wishes

Hello my crafty peeps!  Happy Monday ...

I love snowflake stamp sets like this one, Flurry of Wishes.  This is a stamp set that can be used for Christmas cards but also for winter themed scrapbook pages, Birthdays, thank you and other occasion cards.
If you purchase the stamp set as part of a bundle, the Snow Flurry punch is included and you save 15% off purchasing the items separately.  The punch gives you a two-for-one with two snowflakes that come on one stamp – perfectly lined up every time!  The largest snowflake also pairs with the Flower Medallion punch.  Yeah!

The colours on this card are Lost Lagoon,Soft Sky inks and card stocks. I added Rhinestone Basic Jewel Embellishments to the center of the snowflake.
Hope you like it !!!

Thank you for stopping by and stay tuned for more Christmas cards throughout the week....
