Matchbook Favour or Gift Card Holder

Hello my crafty peeps!!

Before I left for the UK, I made these cute matchbooks that can be used for gifts cards, candy or post its.  These make great stocking stuffers, teacher gifts, party favours, you name it!!  I think they are adorable.  I have done with a Christmas design using the Stampin' Up! retired "Holiday Helpers" with Santa, Elf, Reindeer, and Angel but will showcase other versions when I get back.  The Sentiments I took from several of my stamp sets.

Here are the instructions so you can try to make your own.
  1. Cut cardstock to 8 1/4" x 11"
  2. Scor the short side at 1", 4 3/4" and 5"
  3. Cut the long side in half at 5 1/2" then in half again at 2 3/4"
  4. Fold on scor lines and the bottom section staple just up from fold in middle.
  5. Cut DSP 2 1/2"  x 2 1/2" and also 3/4" x 2 1/2"
  6. Adhere to front of the matchbook with Runner tape, Dimensionals, Tombow glue
  7. Embellish as desired
  8. Cut liner to 2 1/2" x 3 1/4"  if you are wanting to be able to write a message
  9. Adhere a Ghiradelli chocolate to inside with a glue dot or runner tape, or a gift card

Supplies I used:

If I can give you just a little inspiration, where you can look at one of my cards and think I can do that, or I could tweak that and put my own spin on it, then I am achieving what I have set out to do!

P.S. Please share. with your friends and leave me a comment below. I read them ALL!

Trash or Treasure ...

Good morning my crafty peeps!

I meant to tell you about my find a few weeks ago in Okotoks.  They have a thrift type store the locals call the "Dump", well I went there with my cohort Marie and we struck gold.

Usually you don't find Stampin' Up! stamps at thrift stores but when you do.... "Squeal"
Being fairly tall I managed to see them on a top shelf in a box!!!

I bought 3 and Marie grabbed 3, even better they only wanted $2 per stamp set.

Here is a card I made with one of the sets.

If I can give you just a little inspiration, where you can look at one of my cards and think I can do that, or I could tweak that and put my own spin on it, then I am achieving what I have set out to do!

Let me count the ways....

Hello my crafty peeps!

As the title says "Let me count the ways", I've been slacking off from blogging.  It has been at least a week or two since I last posted and I do apologize.... I have had so many things to be excited about and one that weighs heavily on my mind and heart.

I find out today that I don't have to say goodbye to my darling little Abigail aka "Abbeymeowmeow"  She is turning 17 this August and has been living with a softball size lump under her left front leg, you can see that it is pushing her little shoulder out of place and must be uncomfortable.  She is such a brave girl and you can't tell if she is in pain, always says hello and gives you an adoring look. As long as she has a good quality of life, eating, drinking and alert she is okay.

With my trip looming ever closer, crafting and blogging has gone on the back burner.  I did enjoy a few days of hanging out with friends making a few cards.  Here is a birthday card I made for Marie a few weeks back.

One of the things I am excited about is my new ink storage system that is being built for me.  It should be waiting for me when i get back .  This was the last photo I received.

I could always pre-schedule a bunch of posts, but I feel like the posts would get boring? I dunno, but
I will try to post if and when I have wifi in the UK....  I will take lots of photos.

If I can give you just a little inspiration, where you can look at one of my cards and think I can do that, or I could tweak that and put my own spin on it, then I am achieving what I have set out to do!
