Tale of 2 Kitties

Hello my crafty friends!!

As promised, now that I have given the mini album to my cousin here is the video.

Hope everyone is enjoying the week so far, I know I am....  Arrived in Vegas late afternoon on Tuesday and today we are just lounging around by the pool.  Tomorrow we are kayaking on the Colorado river, I am nervous and excited at the same time.  Hope to share some neat photos once I return.

Hope you like what I did!

Tale of 2 Kitties contd..

Hello my crafty friends!

I am finally finished the cat mini album I started oh so many months ago.  I am happy with the way it turned out and being my first one, I will learn from my mistakes.  I really hope my cousin likes it.

Did I mention I leave for Vegas on Tuesday morning and will be meeting my cousins from New Zealand for the first time " EXCITED" to say the least....  I have been chatting with her every day for almost the last 2 years.

Here is a sneak peak at the mini album (I will post a full video on Wednesday)

As you can see I have used fairly large rings and not put a back cover on it, this way I can send her more pages as time goes on or she can add her own.

Hope you like it!!

Tea and Crafting - Your'e a Classic

Hello my crafty peeps!

Yesterday's Tea and Crafting we used the "Guy Greetings" Stamp Set.  If you haven't seen it yet, Guy Greetings is a really versatile stamp set for masculine cards.  It first appeared in the Occasions mini catalog, and has been carried over into the new Annual Catalog.

I must admit when I first saw the ‘muscle man’ in this set, I really wasn't sure I wanted this set, (he is kind of creepy) but now that I’ve been using the stamps, I’ve come to realize how much I can do with the set!

The ‘Righty-Tighty, Lefty Loosey’ greeting and tools would have been perfect for my father-in-law.  (I still get a chuckle when I’m loosening a screw and can hear my dad’s voice reminding me on which way to turn the screwdriver.  He knew so much about everything, but the Anchor would have been absolutely perfect card for him!)

For the above card, I used an example I saw on Pinterest from the Occasions catalog as a starting point for my design.  The second card below was made with by stamping the swooshes from "Work of Art" (Stampin' Up) in Crumb Cake, Soft Sky and Lost Lagoon. and I stamped the sandpipers from "Wetlands" (Stampin' Up) and greeting in in Memento Tuxedo Black super easy!

Hope you like it!

Cats!!

Hello my crafty peeps!!

I can't believe it's Sunday already! Where did the week go?
Before we know it July will be over.  I have been struggling to do any paper crafting this past week, I had company from New Zealand and its been HOT, I was melting and I think it has made me extremely lazy.

I really should be working on a cat mini album or even make it a Project Life album!
I came across these really cute cards on Pinterest and I did buy a album and pages etc. in my last Stampin Up! order.

Minions!!! Stampin' Up! Fry Box

" OOOOHHH PATI ARRR TAAAAHHH BAAAH! "  ~ Evil Kevin

Hello my crafty peeps!

Today I have been working on my friends birthday card and treat box, she loves the minions, purple and we plan on going to the movie on opening day, so what better to make than MINIONS!!

The Evil Minions are very different from regular Minions: having purple skin, long hairy arms, wild frizzy purple hair that spreads out like a mane, and big sharp crooked teeth.

I used the Fry Box Bigz L Die to make these adorable items for my friends birthday.   The final products measures 3" x 1 1/2" x 3 1/2".   I used Perfectly Plum cardstock, then made teeth with whisper white cardstock.  I had some treat cups that I used for the eyes and I bought purple fluff for the hair.

Hope you like what I came up with!

Hugs, Karen

Minions have arrived!!

Hello Peeps!

Well I did things a little backwards as I wanted to finish evil Kevin first, but like most things I mix things up.  I searched for sample cards on Pinterest and the web, but then just went for it!

Hope you like my version of Happy Kevin.

Hello my crafty peeps!

I have been working on a sweet 16 card for my goddaughter and decided to use my Cricut after almost a year.  I used the "Straight from the Nest" cartridge and sentiment from Stampin Up!'s "For the birds" stamp set.
